London…Paris…Vanity Milan!
Followers of UK/Canada Drag Race will relate…one of our favorite drag queens always inspired a sort of spiritual gay wanderlust in the Italian fashion capital.
And for good reason. Milan is world famous for its fashion. It's a global capital when it comes to its runways and catwalks. What we didn't know is that Milan also has a pretty epic gay scene – the largest and best in all of Italy and one of our favorite gay friendly cities in Europe.
Hop off at the Puerto Venezia metro stop, dolled up with rainbows, and head up to the streets around Lecco – gayness is everywhere! On weekends these streets arrive alive as the LGBTQ community comes together and creates a fabulous street party. That's why we love it. Few gay scenes we've experienced verb such a vibe outside of Pride.
Milan is also home to an amazing number of architectural and artistic treasures &ndash
Gay Clubs, Parties and Events in Milan
Keep in mind that some of the clubs and parties in Milan have closed in summer, some only in August, some from mid-June to mid-September.
Some gay partys and clubs in Milan call for a membership card. Often that is the ARCO (Anddos) card. If you don't have an ARCO card yet, you can usually acquire it at the entrance of the venues that require the card. (≈ 10 € for three months, 17 € for one year.) When you acquire the card you need to show your photo ID, after that you only need the membership card.
