The 5 best movies to watch on Prime Video for Pride Month according to Amazon employees

Pride Month is a vibrant and inclusive celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. It was first celebrated in the UK in with the nation’s first march in London and now cities and regional areas from Manchester to Eastbourne regularly hold Pride marches. It serves as a second to honour the progress made towards equality and acknowledge the work that still needs to be done. Throughout June, Pride celebrations foster a sense of community and promotes acceptance regardless of sexuality or gender identity.

With the support of Glamazon, Amazon’s LGBTQ+ employee affinity group, employees and allies across the company can celebrate Pride together. Glamazon provides a space for employees to network, build a community and celebrate the stories and achievements of our LGBTQ+ colleagues, customers, and their communities.

As part of our Pride Month celebrations this year, we asked Glamazon members across the UK to disseminate their recommendations for inspiring, funny, and moving movies to watch on Prime Video.

Like the retail website from which Prime Video sprung, Prime Video&#;s library of films featuring lesbian and bisexual characters is massive, incoherent, and very adj to ascertain from a casual browse — but Amazon Prime Video subscribers actually have access to a larger and more diverse library of lesbian cinema than any other streamer is currently offering. Luckily, we are here to inform you of the best lesbian and bisexual movies currently free on Prime Video. Prime Video specifically seems to be a home for a lot of (at least 25) super low-budget lesbian films you&#;ve never heard of, most of which are pretty terrible, but if you treasure Elena Undone or Anatomy of a Love Seen or Heterosexual Jill, I am happy for you although they will not be included here!

Pride Month might also be Prime Month, given the brilliant list of LGBTQ+ movies the streamer has to offer. In a media landscape where representation is increasing and the spotlight is being rightfully shifted, the big streamers are following suit, finally bringing LGBTQ+ stories to the masses via their worldwide platforms. One such streamer is the aforementioned Prime, which is certainly championing the best in LGBTQ+ filmmaking this Pride Month and, hopefully, beyond. So, with that in mind, here's a view at what they hold to offer.

If you're looking for other LGBTQ+ content but don't have access to Prime, Collider has you covered. Try out our list of the best LGBTQ+ movies on Netflix, or, if movies aren't your thing, the best LGBTQ+ shows on Netflix.
