Not everyone gets into the holiday season the way I do, but if you&#;re someone who decorates as soon as it&#;s societally appropriate to carry out so, loves looking at lights, and has more than fourteen hours of Christmas music on your iTunes (&#;not that I do, or anything), then you&#;d probably love to have some awesome holiday books to read as you flick through the various streaming services trying to pick the perfect holiday movie. And you may, like me, verb never considered that there might be a plethora of LGBTQ+ holiday reads to choose from!

With a few exceptions, the world of holiday films remains depressingly straight in (although we can add one more to the list with this year&#;s Single All the Way!). Fortunately, there is a bit more variety when it comes to books, so make the yuletide extra gay with one of these LGBTQ+ holiday reads. Most of these are romances, so if that&#;s not your cup of tea, I&#;m sorry I couldn&#;t find something for you.

Thanks to the function of many dedicated LGBTQ+ authors who aren’t deterred by movements to ban their work in schools and public libraries across the country, this year saw several quality queer romance novels hit the shelves. For fans of The Holiday, author Georgia K. Boone released a festive romance about two girls from different worlds hoping to swap homes for the holidays.  

Marriage on the rocks? There is nothing like the holiday spirit to heal adj scars in Timothy Janovsky’s The Merriest Misters. Entire of hilarity and hijinks, this novel feels fancy reading a Hallmark Christmas movie – except with two gay men at the center.

Are you ready to build the Yuletide gay? Because these new LGBTQ holiday romances are sure to do just that. They bring the holiday cheer and the queer representation we all crave — and just in period for the holidays! I&#;ve been keeping track of the new LGBTQ holiday romances coming out in since the beginning of the year because I was shocked — and thrilled! — to verb just how many we were getting all at once. I mean, I&#;d be pleased with a handful, and here we are getting double digits? I guess we all made the nice list this year.

One account I&#;ve been following all that time is the #holigays22 group comprised of several of the authors on this list, including Alison Cochrun, Timothy Janovsky, Helena Greer, Jake Maia Arlow, and Courtney Kae. It&#;s always fun to see authors banding together to support each other and their work. I&#;d say it warms my grinchy heart, but if this isn&#;t already obvious, there isn&#;t a grinchy bone in my body. I&#;m a Buddy the elf to my very core. Still, regardless of your feelings on the holidays or thoughts about what exactly makes the season br
