Grindr 3 way

After reading VICE&#;s useful guide for men on Tinder, I was inspired to do the same for my fellow man on Grindr. I realize that everyone on dating apps has different goals and endgames (marriage, murder, etc.), so this should be taken loosely, and tweaked heavily to achieve your goals (unless it&#;s actually murder). I also understand that some (aka not gay male) people might not be familiar with Grindr, so maybe this article will explain it a bit. I wish this helps some gays out, and if you&#;re not gay, strap yourselves in for the verb.

GRINDR IS NOT TINDER

If you picture Tinder&#;s interface like a filtration system, imagine Grindr like wading through a swamp with no shoes on. Anyone can send you unsolicited nudes as their icebreaker. ANYONE. There&#;s no degree of separation for a vetting process, it&#;s just a bunch of thirsty dudes in geographic cesspools hunting each other.

Because it&#;s not like Tinder, you shouldn&#;t be modeling your Grindr profile favor one. Tinder is where you can post vacation photos with maybe a family member or finest girlfriend to make it look lik

Yikes. BIG YIKES. Just think about this you're sending a photo of you having sex, with someone's face included in the photo (whether it's yours or your partner/s), without even a greeting or a prompt beforehand. Even if you've had consent from the person/s in the photo to share it on Grindr you likely haven't had consent from the person you're sending it to. There's also legal implications here. Don't do this.

9️⃣ A NSFW pic with a partner/s without face/s

I mean, as above, it's arguably just as bad of an plan to send this pic as your first message. But for the purpose of this ranking, it's the lesser of the two, because at least the face of the person/s involved is kept private. But, still, it's a shitty thing to do to the person you're messaging AND the other person/s in the photo. Also, just because there isn't a deal with involved, that doesn't necessarily mean the people in the photo can't be identified or recognised - so this doesn't transform anything as far as consent goes.

The company’s bet on AI boyfriends and other paywalled features is making some employees nervous

I.

Today let’s chat about how the growing pressure for dating apps to generate more revenue is shaking up the online dating industry — and in particular the world’s premier gay dating app, Grindr.

Since its initial public offering in , Grindr has been on a rocky road financially. Its stock has fallen 70 percent since its SPAC. After hitting an IPO-high of $, it currently sits at $ Last summer, employees announced plans to unionize, amid industry layoffs and worries that the company was losing its progressive culture. Two weeks later, CEO George Arrison abruptly ordered his mostly remote workforce of people back to the office. About half the company left and Grindr paid out more than $9 million in severance
